VPSLink Subscription Transfer Process
The VPSLink Subscription Transfer Process allows an account holder to transfer ownership of an account and related services to a new VPSLink subscriber.
Considerations
- A $15.00 USD Subscription Transfer Fee will apply
- Discounted subscriptions retain their discounted rate
- Prepaid subscription fees will be included (if a subscription is transferred three months after a six month subscription fee is paid, the new owner of the subscription will not be invoiced for three months, when the subscription's billing cycle ends)
- Payment arrangements between the individual or entity relinquishing control of the subscription and the individual entity assuming control of the subscription are outside the scope of the VPSLink billing department's assistance - use of an escrow service is recommended to ensure payment is made and the subscription transfer is completed
Process
- Payment is arranged between Transferring Client and Receiving Client
- Transferring Client is advised to copy any important information from VPS and reinstall operating system on VPS to clear all files and configuration settings
- Transferring Client creates a ticket for the VPSLink billing department from the VPSLink Support Center with the following information:
- Statement of intent to transfer subscription
- Name, phone number and email address of the Receiving Client
- Receiving Client sends e-mail to VPSLink Sales and Billing department to provide the following information:
- Full name
- Billing address
- Contact e-mail address(es)
- Contact phone number(s)
- Preferred domain name or label to associate with subscription
- VPSLink Billing Department updates account with Receiving Client information, resets account password, and sends e-mail notification to complete transfer
