Do

• Think of great new ways to use this service
• Register to participate on the VPSLink Forums - this will be very helpful in finding ways to optimize your VPS
• Let us know when your server is inaccessible
• Read the VPSLink Acceptable Use Policy
• Search the VPSLink Forums, this wiki, and Google to see if someone has already done what you are trying to do, or has fixed the problem you are trying to fix - this will save you a lot of time
• If you are having problems installing software, post your problems in forums.vpslink.com

Don't

• Attempt to add swap space or run mkswap on OpenVZ (See How to add swap space)
• Install the upstart /sbin/init binary (See HOWTO:_Fix_Missing_ubuntu-minimal_dependencies_for_Ubuntu_6.10_(Edgy_Eft))
• Install udev on OpenVZ - it will not create many required devices (such as pseudo-terminals)
• Run an open proxy server (See the VPSLink Acceptable Use Policy)
• Do anything which violates United states law (See the VPSLink Acceptable Use Policy)
• Spam our support system with identical tickets
